Utterly revived at Maybeck'sSeptember 2 in the United States
We thought the best way to get up first acquainted with San Francisco was to get on a bus and just take it to the end of the line. The end of the line turned out to be near the Golden Gate Bridge with a giant Roman garden replica call the Palace of Fine Arts. All of the tourists were suitably awed except for one obnoxious family and their drone. I don't mean to suggest that their child was droning on but rather that they had an actual mechanical drone floating amidst the architecture.
By the time we had made our way through it we were exhausted. Thank heavens for Maybeck's and their local brew Anchor Steam - cold, hoppy, and coppery. Some cool Jazz and a sit down and we are happy campers. I liked the 2nd of September... especially the second time I did it.Read more
