Union Township

Departed Bass Lake campground at Wright Patterson Air Force base in Dayton, Ohio. With brief stop at Lowe's and Walmart, arrived at KOA in Anderson/Muncie Indiana.

Campground is at best marginal. They have obviously had a lot of rain and the ground is soft and muddy everywhere. We are right across from the "nature pond" which might better be described as swamp with lots of swamp scum. The bathrooms, described in the confirmation email as "near", are closed and it is most of a quarter mile walk to the bathroom and showers. There is a lot of construction going on here.

On the plus side, it is still cool enough that, despite all the dampness and water around, there were no mosquitoes. I'm guessing that when it gets a bit warmer, you'll get eaten alive.

Tuesday campground is quiet and peaceful. Jason came over for dinner cooked on grill and stayed for campfire till about 2100.Read more
