    Pleiku

    November 20 in Vietnam

This was already suppose to be the longest leg of the trip at 270kms. But after taking a few dirt back roads and accidentally ending up at the Cambodian border and consequently being turned away, we probably biked about 400km. We also spent the night in this town called Pleiku which was about 100kms away from where we had originally planned to stay.

Both myself and Jess had our first minor fall on this leg of the trip. Not really surprising given our inexperience and the bumpy dirt roads.

Pleiku must not get many tourists because the first place we went to here for something to drink the owner was stoked to see us. Our short stop here involved a bunch of photos being taken of us by the very pleased cafe owner.

    Pleiku / Gia Lai

    June 28, 2017 in Vietnam

We spent three nights in Pleiku, which is known locally as Gia Lai. The town only has a population of about 250,000. There's so much delicious and cheap street food. We bought a kite to fly one afternoon. The lady who sold us the kite was determined to help us fly it but there wasn't enough wind.

But, as with any riding in South East Asia, there were some moments where we wondered what on earth other road users were doing.Read more
