A short stay on Gozo

While getting to Malta, we had only 3 hours to spend, as the boat would not wait longer for us...
We decided not to visit the main town Ir-Rabat (Victoria) but to go at a cooler pace and visit Xlendi and its beach, one of the only sand beach of all the island. Its port is also renowned for snorkeling activities.
As we were hungry, we chose a restaurant because it pleased us, and it came that our guide mentions it as the best restaurant of the place. We can confirm!
Béatrice and I had both a dish with Lampuki, the Maltese name of the Mahi-Mahi (a species of Sea Bream or " Daurade" in French), Béatrice under the form of a grilled filet of Lampuki, myself under the form of a Ftira (a Maltese version of pizza).
Pénélope for her part had a pizza that was so thick and so rich that she could not finish it (you read correctly). Unluckily we could not bring any doggy bag...
After this we had little time left, so we went to discover the surroundings, with cliffs over the water, and gorgeous views.Read more
