    Suluban beach

    February 5, 2019 in Indonesia ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

Climbed down the serious cliffs to the surfing beach Suluban. It’s apparently very famous for surfing, but the swimming’s pretty dangerous when the waves are up, so we just paddled out a little bit and bobbed up and down on the waves, which was a hoot.

They were moderate today, but by the time they get into the beach, maybe only two feet high. Still more than enough when you’re only three foot high yourself like little Meg! The pictures make them look like little ripples, but they were pretty serious for the wee‘uns!

Collected a couple nice shells, but lost them all when the tide came in and washed our shoes away. Some nice person grabbed them for us and moved them inland, but the shells were gone. Had to do the same for the next person when their shoes started floating away - tide comes in fast!
