    Lift off

    October 21, 2018 in Switzerland ⋅ ⛅ 54 °F

Well; we are headed home now. It was a wonderful adventure and we enjoyed every moment of it. While we have had a good time we realize all the things we have at home are much more important in our lives than the good times we have. So we are looking forward to seeing you again and being home for a while. We will start planning our next big adventure and we will see what that will be. We are grateful for family and friends and all we have and are eager to see what life has in store for us.Read more

    DA ERNESTO RESTAURANT

    October 19, 2018 in Switzerland ⋅ ☁️ 52 °F

We came home from the mountain and went to dinner at Ernesto's. I had the grilled lamb and Grandma had Spaghetti Bolognese. Both were delicious. That was the biggest piece of lamb I have ever had, and probably the best I ever have had. Complete with wine, the vegetables, salad and bread. Pistachio ice cream for dessert.Read more

    Grindelwald. Switzerland

    October 19, 2018 in Switzerland ⋅ ☁️ 52 °F

This is definitely a high dollar ski resort with prices that will take your breath away. Kinda hard to believe some of the things we have seen. It makes you wonder how much money is out there. And what people spend it on.Read more

Des Alpes Restaurant. As we get higher into the mountains it makes me feel like winter will soon be here. So I was thinking about the leaves at home. Are they falling yet? How cold is it getting? The weather has been so nice here that I didn't need a coat today even as high as we were. But of course we can see that people are getting ready for winter. Flower beds are being taken out and outside furniture covered. We have seen at hotels and restaurants that they have put sheepskin blankets on and racks of heavy coats out so customers can still sit outside in the cold. But so far the weather has been great. We keep hearing [ unseasonably warm and best
    ever. ]...

It's been pretty warm the last couple days but its definitely cooling down. The leaves look really pretty and are starting to fall

The finish line picture is at the end of a 10 k up hill race that I entered. I didn't win or even come close.
