We are travelling around the Bavaria area killing time really until we get to Salzburg for maybe a three night stay and a guided tour of the City, and an improving weather situation. Today we are at Lake Chiemsee and it’s a day for doing nothing. Attempted a cycle and got soaked. But we are in Bavaria and the scenery is amazing.

הרבה פעמים אני חושבת אם הייתי יכולה להיות זאת שהמציאה משהו שכבר קיים
מה הייתי בוחרת?
ועכשיו אני יודעת-
אטמי אוזניים
מצילים אותי כל פעם

הדרך במטוס הייתה ארוכה ומלאה בילדים וחרדים שמדברים בקול רם.
והאטמים הצילו אותי פעם נוספת
שהגענו לשדה בוינה היינו צריכים להחתים את הדרכון והיה תור ארוך, הלכתי לשירותים שנמצאים מקדימה בתור ובעצם שיצאתי נכנסתי בטבעיות לתור עם המחשבה שאני אחת לבד ובמי אני פוגעת במעשה שלי.
התור היה עוד ארוך וכל הסללומים אני ממשיכה לחשוב על זה, וככל שזה מתקדם אני מתחילה לחשוב שהזרם דוחף אותי להמשיך איתו ולא להתנגד. ממש רגע מהאישה שאומרת לך לך לפה לך לשם יצאתי מהתור והלכתי לסופו אחרי עוד הרבה אנשים שכבר הספיקו להצטרף מטיסות אחרות.
מה אני באה להגיד
שקודם כל אני אהבלה
וזה בסדר
לפעמים המחשבה אגואיסטית
ובאמת בגלוי לא ממש פגעתי במישהו
אבל בסמוי אני פוגעת במי שאני רוצה להיות
אישה ישרה וטובה שמחכה את התור למרות שכבר כואב לה הבירכיים והיא בכלל לא התחילה את הטרק עדיין חחח
תזכורת טובה להמשך המסע והמשך החיים שגם אם טעינו לרוב יש את הזמן לתקן ולא להתמסר לטעות שאט אט פוגמת במי שאנחנו רוצים להיות

39. Bad Tölz - Oberaudorf

Today we had to wait until 2.00pm to use the showers at the swimming pool, so we had a lazy morning deciding on whether to take the van in to a local Citreon garage.. After seeking lots of advice (thanks, Leigh), we decided to leave it as the van is running fine now, with no fault codes showing. We therefore carried on driving the Alpine route after having our shower. The drive was very fun, we weaved in and out of Austria which was cool. We also passed some lovely lakes & towns whilst driving some awesome mountain roads.

We did a big mountain pass and went over 1200mtrs again, mad that this is close to height of Ben Nevis. Enroute we stopped at a very scenic waterfall and walked down to a viewpoint to view it looking up. This was really nice but sketchy taking Maddy as she throws herself down the steps...

Afterwards we headed along a small mountain road to our next parkup, probably the most scenic one yet, with huge mountains the one direction, surrounded by the foothills around us and a big fishing lake. We predict only 1 day left on our Alpine route- we recommend this as its been super scenic and at times has put the swiss alps to shame!Read more

Started the day with a bbq’d bacon buttie and then some housekeeping on Leo! Tried to get some washing done but it was ‘app’ based and would have been €20 for a one off €4 wash so we decided to leave it for now!!
Beautiful campsite, well kept with big pitches and all facilities.
Bike ride early afternoon before a thunder storm hit with unbelievable rain, soon dried up though and back to glorious sunshine 🌞
A blether with our German neighbours before a game of Canasta - all in all a smashing day!Read more

Today was a bit like a s*** day of golf. 17 holes of I’ll never play again and on the 18th you get a par. Well today was like that. DO NOT wing it on a German holiday long weekend . Another 7 hours on the road and giving up all hope of getting somewhere to stay we end up on on a cracking site west of Salzburg. 7 days on the road and no ice. In desperation went to ask my German neighbours as I was desperate, and they obliged. Pray to The Lord 🙏 But There’s a bit to do to convince me Germany is the place to be. Half een was t droog, direct gaan rijden want dat blijft niet zo. Snelweg op want de passen zijn verboden voor motoren omdat er boven 1000 meter sneeuw ligt. Autobaan richting Salzburg gaat ook 1300 meter over, ook daar dus sneeuw en verrekte koud....... Later regen, niet normaal. Half zes bij Rosenheim hotel genomen omdat t donker werd en mijn snelheid nog maar 70 was op de snelweg, eenvoudig weg te donker en te veel regen om nog iets te zien. Aangezien de vrachtwagens wel met 90 voorbij komen vlug plekje gezocht. Hele warme douche en lekker eten, morgen zien we wel weer. Is hier code (diep) rood dus waarschijnlijk nog wel ff afzien. Anyway, motor staat netjes binnen, kleren hangen op droogrek en eerste 🍺 is besteld.Read more

Så er vejret slået om. Fra 30 grader og lummert i går aftes, til 15 grader og regn her til morgens. Et lidt barskt vejrskifte! Men vores plan for i dag er bare at køre til Kiefersfelden på grænsen til Østrig, hvor vi skal besøge Björn og Ingrid som vi kender fra Grønland. De bor i det her fine hus med en dejlig lille have, hvor Passepartout kan holde. Og så har de fået bygget en ny udendørs pizzaovn, som vi skal afprøve! I sommer har de sejlet i kajak fra Sisimiut til Ilulissat, og vi deler mange oplevelser og drømme, der bliver udvekslet denne aften.

På vej dertil gør vi dog et lille stop i byen Landshut, hvor vi vandrer lidt rundt blandt de farvestrålende husfacader og op i parken ved slottet Trausnitz. Da vi kører videre fra Landshut ned mod Rosenheim og grænsen til Østrig kommer der pludselig mørkegrønne bjerge til syne i horisonten mellem skyerne. Det er græsmarker og små landsbyer der præger dalene, og vi er kommet til Tyrol.Read more
