    Good Morning Helsinki

    July 4, 2018 in Finland ⋅ ☀️ 16 °C

We arrived to a crisp and sunny morning in Helsinki. Disembarking was pretty easy and, again, no-one was checking passports as we entered another country!

We decided to walk up to the central rail station so that we could store our luggage until our apartment was ready. In Stockholm we encountered a number of establishments that were “cash free”, and so we found ourselves with leftover Swedish Kronor. We were able to use some on the cruise ship, but still had to change a fair amount into Euros at the station. There are green trams just like Melbourne here, and so it feels a bit like home, except for the bizarre language which is like nothing I have heard before.
