The next day we decided against keeping our rental car and instead took a tour bus up to the Highlands. Hands down the best last-minute decision of our UK trip. Experiencing Scotland via a 8hour rideLes mer

Ridjng up to the Highlands we were able to view many great mountainous sites. From Ian Fleming’s home to Monty Pythons memorable scenes, stopping to view bagpipe players with the scenic mountains inLes mer
Urquhart Castle was our last “destination” on our tour, we roamed about admiring the remains with Loch Ness in view.
After walking the grounds of the castle we jumped onto a ferry and rode up the Loch to jump back into the bus. Maybe it was just me but the water seemed almost black, cool and refreshing...
Enjoying the view back to Edinburgh..
Our last day in Scotland, we took the time and visited the last few monuments and stores we hadn’t seen yet. Grabbing some smoothies at our sons (still) favorite, smoothie shop, all themed Scooby Doo.
Edinburgh-> London
The first day in London, we took a quick walk out side Kensington and stopped for lunch. We shortly then walked over to the National History Museum where we took our time and checked out the exhibits.
We took an Uber to Hyde Park where we then walked over to Buckingham Palace. Checking off all the tourist locations on our list, but it honestly was a sight to see.
