    Johnny fiestas, Las Lajas

    January 22, 2017 in Panama

We changed our plans and instead of going to Boquete we took a bus and then a taxi to a hostel called "Johnny fiestas" in Las Lajas. The hostel is placed at a huge beautiful lonely beach and has opened only 3 weeks ago. The owner, Matt, is a 27 year old guy from California who is living his dream. We only booked one night and then wanted to go to Boquete, but that has to wait, we gonna stay here longer. The first night we got really drunk (again) with Matt and the bartender and had a swim in the ocean at 4am. The best thing was that when you moved, the water lighted up because of some kind of plancton. Plus i have never seen so many stars in my life before. The next morning: waking up with a hangover is not bad if you get a coffe and a smoke a cigarette, then go for a swim and have breakfast afterwards! We spent the whole day at the beach and bought a hamburger for dinner for only 2$. We can stay as many nights as we want in a tent for 5$ a night, which is super cheap (i think its because we're drinking buddies now) We'll stay here til the 25th and then go to Bocas del Toro or our plans will change angain, you never know when you're backpackin, which is why i love it so much.Read more

    Davíd

    January 19, 2017 in Panama

From El Valle we cought a bus and got off after 30 Minutes at the Highway. After waiting for another 30 Minutes for a Bus going to David, we decides to get one heading to Santiago and took a bus there going to Davíd. A really nice taxi driver took us to our hostel for only 3$. The "bambu hostel" is an awesome place to stay if you want to lie in a hammock the whole day and sleep in a treehouse at night. They even got a quati living there and you can feed and pet it! The bartender there was a guy from holland and we drank couple of beer and some rum shots. Went to bed at 3am. We gonna stay another night at Bambu and wanna catch a bus to Boquete tomorrow.Read more

    El valle de Anton

    January 16, 2017 in Panama

A bus took us to the little village in the middle of an old vulcano "el valle". We were lucky that another guy got out of the bus right in front of our hostel because otherwise we would have missed it. In the "bodhi" hostel you share a dorm with 26 other people (if you really sleep in the bed), but every bed has a courtain so you still got privacy! I started talking to the guy that got out of the bus with us and we decided to climb up a hill in the evening to watch the sunrise. He got us some beer and after 1,5 hours, a lot of sweating and a collapsed lung (i should quit smoking) we finally arrived at the top of the mountain. The view was stunning and we watched the sunset, drank our beer and looked at the stars. Back in the hostel we got back in the hammocks and really drunk while the guy, paco, was playing his ukulele. We kinda passed out outside at 5am. I spent the next day in the hammock again, curing my hangover and waiting for the food that paco cooked for me. We want to get up at 6 tomorrow and catch a bus to Davíd.Read more

    San blas

    January 13, 2017 in Panama

After a 3 hour jeep drive and a 1 hour boat drive we arrived at an island of the san blas islands. "Ina cabins" ist the place called and its a super small island with beautiful water and white sand. We slept in little self built huts at the beach.
I got up at 6am on the first morning, sat in a hammock and watched the sunrise. A dog joined me and layed under my hammock. The second day we went on a boat trip and visited 3 islands. It was awesome and we really enjoyed it! Definitly worth the money!!Read more
