It was sleeting when I got To the top of the mountain! This is mile zero ( southern terminus) of the Appalachian Trail - I hiked almost 9 miles to get here đ

Stayed overnight in the Stover Creek Shelter at mile 2,9 of AT which would make my total mileage for day 1 1.4

The final approach was nearly an hour of up-up-UP! Elevation 4452 here at the top. It’s the highest peak on the Appalachian trail in GA.
