Boating, Aerial Adventures and 5 a Side

Beautiful day today after a couple of days of heavy rain and overcast weather. We started off with boating on the lake. Paul, Kelly, Jerome, Luca, Ollie, Josh, Steven, Sarah, Eva, Flo and Logan had 2 six seater canoes, and Mum Dad Laura and Lee had an electric boat.

As usual the family put on a great show for everyone else with lots of screaming, laughing and splashing. Not one person on the canoes escaped an absolute drenching.

Next up was the aerial adventure through the treetops, where the canoes crew (minus Jerome) did the high line tree walk with the zip line at the end. Lots of fun for everyone.

Then it was on to the five a side football. Two teams comprising team 1 Steven, Kelly, Lee, Ollie and Flo. Team 2 - Jerome, Logan, Eva, Josh and Luca.

As expected team 1 took out the win due to the exceptional skills of Flo, plus some great goals by Kelly and a surprisingly good performance by Lee in goal, who was then awarded Man of the Match.

A quick celebratory drink in the sports bar followed, and then back to the lodges for showers and a freshen up before dinner at Cafe Rouge.

Englands women’s team were playing Sweden in the European Women’s Championship and the family decided to go and watch it in the sports bar. It was a great match, 2-2 at full time then an extra 30 minutes followed by a nail biting penalty shoot out where England edged out Sweden with 3 goals to 2.
