Pulled in pretty late last night to the Thompson Grove Picnic area within the Rita Blanca National Grasslands. Texas has only a small area of federal lands for free camping. Most land is privately owned. Heading out right now after a snafu with our propane tank. Seems like one of them lost a stem. Will replace in SLC. The main reason I wanted to stay here [besides the area is convenient to our route] is because the grasslands are dark sky areas. When we pulled in at 11 it was cloudy. Woke up at 3am and the stars were brilliant. Wish I had the skills to capture its beauty. Almost finished with our "Treksas" [trek + Texas].もっと詳しく
