After three months of helping out at the beautiful hostel Casa Noda in Nagasaki the winter is over and spring is coming, so I decided to cycle to my next volunteering in Tsuru at Mt. Fuji. Leer más

  • 39. Day Kawaguchiko -> Tsuru 20km

    7 de mayo, Japón ⋅ ☁️ 19 °C

    Last day of the longest cycle journey so far. 39. Days! Around 20 km till Tsuru. Wohooo. Almost there.
    Went to hang out with Eggsy and others and K's House. Changed my Brake Pads and went on my last 20 km for this almost 2000 km long journey. Around 3 pm I reached the English cram school. I got to know Kenta and the two other volunteers: Ricky and Armando. I choose one of my beds, washed my clothes and went for groceries. It turned out that Armando is the cook of the gang and likes to cook for others. We ended up eating dinner together. A nice and warm welcome in Tsuru.

    Review of the Sakura Nagasaki to Fuji San journey:

    Tough start after Vietnam and getting sick. I had a fever the first few days and didn't enjoy the first day at all. It just got better from day to day. The guesthouse on Tsushima was amazing! I should have stayed a little longer but I also know that I had plans and like to follow my schedule. First time on the bike in another country was also a special feeling. The few days in Busan were pure vacation! Back in Japan I started to stay in the tent again and still wasn't at 100%. Happy about the special hostels in Hagi, Matsue and Tottori. Especially the town of Hagi I'll keep dearly in my heart. The long trips along the coast line. Kinosaki Onsen with all the tourists and the nice onsen. The breathtaking coastline of northern Kyoto. This one Cafe where I met the Swiss- japanese siblings who offered me some fresh fish I ate raw at the beach. Miyama and the Kayabuki no Sato. All the friends I met in Osaka: Takumi, Momo, Nori and Kina and surely Ai. It's always tough to start again after relaxing. The rain and cold when I set over from Mie to Aichi. The coastline of Aichi. Reaching Shizuoka and Mt. Fuji. Seeing Fuji again after travelling all the way by bike from Kyushu was amazing! One of my best football match experiences in Fujieda. And finally reaching Kawaguchiko and seeing friends again. What a journey! Last but not least a few statistics: Prefectures: 12 (+Busan, S.Korea) in total: 39/47
    KM: 1874km
    Tent nights: 16/39
    Football matches: 6
