    So soft like velvet.1This is Baby. The people who rescue the Joey's name them. Their little kids named Baby.This is 15yr old Abi who loves cuddles. She is one of Brolgas first rescued Joey's (one of Rogers wives).Baby and EsmeShiloh thinks she is human 😁. You can hear Brolgas tell her story while I am feeding her.Famous Roger

    Kangaroo Sanctuary

    The Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs rescue and raise orphaned baby kangaroos, to hopefully be put back into the wild.
    They have a large sanctuary for injured or too tame kangaroos that are not able to be released back into the wild.
    NT do not have a kangaroo oversupply like NSW as the NT have plenty of dingos unlike NSW.
    This is where the famous Roger the kangaroo was rescued and raised.

    Perfect bush camping where the entertainment comes to you.👌
    Such a fun event, good vibes and plenty of partying!
    I think every stereotype with an event like this was smashed! First night, MASSIVE bush rave opposite us, full set up with big speakers, huge bonfire, fairy lights in the trees, karaoke machine and about 20 Indian guys, such a good set up - and they were SO LOUD! All good fun and not what we had expected at all. 😂Read more

    Standley Chasm

    Went for a wander to the Chasm at midday and at 5pm-ish and did the loop walk through a creek bed in between. Very nice. 👌

    Heading back tomorrow to do the pound walk.

    Breathtaking scenery in and around the pound.
    8.5 kms with a water crossing at the end 😁.
    Coldest water I have ever waded through!

    Great gorge. We need to come back when we can swim through the gorge onto the next chamber. Apparently there are more and more the further you go. Cool!

    Palm Valley Mpulungkinya Track

    Finke Gorge National Park.
    4 kms of 4wd track to the start of the walk, which took some time, 30-40 mins or so.
    Awesome 5 km walk seeing lots of palms, sandstone and flowers.
    This palm is a red cabbage palm which can only be found in this part of central Australia.
    Their closest palm relative is located approximately 1000 kms away in Qld.    Read more
