    Final Full Day

    April 7 in Australia ⋅ 🌬 27 °C

Cloudy and cooler again today. The tide which varies considerably was due to reach nearly 9 metres just before 10.00 which means there was water where we hadn’t seen it before. It disturbed the Black Kites into action. We walked the short distance to Town Beach and jetty in time for high tide. Then time for coffee before a visit to the museum which is full of all sorts of old artefacts from pearling, WW2 aircraft wreckage, shells and the old cinema. Run by volunteers and well presented. The bus brought us back to Matsos for a beer before lunch. There’s a cruise ship in so some places are a bit busier than otherwise.
A little packing and dip in the pool and we were off on the bus to Cable Beach for sunset cocktails, although with so much cloud the sunset bit was uncertain. As it happened the cocktails seemed heavy on lime and low on spirits although the setting was pleasant with the odd 4x4 and camel 🐪 to watch.
Went it got dark we took the bus back and ate at the Roey in town.

    Homeward bound

    April 8 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 26 °C

Flying to Perth at 14.00 we decided a brunch at the Dragonfly Cafe would be the best way to spend our final morning in Broome. The 24hr bus ticket proved invaluable. We are all on the same flight with us turning right and Charlie and Sue left towards Adelaide.
Qantas provided a Fokker 100 for the flight which left a little early and was 75% full. A veggie snack and glass of Shiraz kept us going through the show.
Watched as C&S took off as the sunset. Full though calm flight to Dubai where the sun rose for us. Final leg coming up and rain warning for Rugby 😎😎
