A little Camino stuff

Since there is absolutely nothing in this little village (according to Christina the owner of current Albergue, there are only 52 people here)
I thought I'd give you people an opportunity to catch up on some stuff and to learn a little bit about the Camino stamps or cellos (SAY-Yos)
First we can look at the enclosed map and you can see that as I mentioned before I sort of went off the grid and have been hanging around between the stages
Yesterday I went from Ciruena to Belorado and today a very short hop from Belorado to Villafranca Montes de Oca ( so for the moment I'm back on the track)

The second photo is of my Peregrino's Credenciale which is a Pilgrim's Passport that allows us to get into the albergues and will be instrumental to get the Compostela.
One must collect at least one cello/day in order to qualify for a Compostela. Some folks treasure the cellos more than the actual Compostela because in a sense it is a trail of your journey where you have been, where you slept, what you saw, where you ate...

It's a shame it didn't come out very clear
very interesting place and the guy who runs it told me that if you in Spain you should look at everything with a smile and a laugh

The Camilla Principal will go to the right, I need to take the left Road
my understanding is that it is actually the left way that is the original one

TravelerNo, if anything's the right one is more of up and downs on the Hills. as I mentioned in the original comment the left one seems to be the original one but it goes right along the road so maybe that's why they hurt it

A morning to Execute Plan B

Humble breakfast in the morning...
It is quite late by the Camino Starts because last night Sanchez, Liz and I decided that we will take a taxi cab to Burgos because we all have different issues with our legs that are bothering us greatly.
So we are skipping the 21km hike and ride into town and then see if we can get some medical help.

OMG! I forgot what one of those looks like: definite sign of civilization 😁
the taxi cab dropped us here on the outskirts of Burgos as we need to go to Decathlon which is European version of our REI, as well as stock up on a couple of other little things
Sanchez paid for the taxi cab and categorically would not take any of our money
interestingly enough we found that there is a free bus going from this mall straight into downtown Burgos so we took advantage of that after our shopping list doneRead more

Thankfully my blisters are not infected but they do hurt as they're still a little uncomfortable
the medical people cleaned them up and disinfected them and told me to take some rest

Burgos is totally amazing! All the pictures that you see here are just within the little area of local neighborhood that I seen around and there is so much more in the actual downtown section.
Tomorrow I will attempt to visit the cathedral and that probably would be it
