Cut the floor out to remove the leaking under floor 150L fuel tank. Hole fixed, sanded and painted before reinstalling. New Eva Foam flooring installed instead of carpet, and fixed a handful of other bits and pieces in between.Read more

Chess Tournament

Poppy Vince taught Lachie chess while we were travelling.

Lachie then made the chess team 2 years in a row.

Last competition for the year, he won 2 out of the 6 games.

Back in the Boat

Stayed the night in the boat up at Swansea.
Spent our time swimming, eating nibbles, drinking Prosecco, fishing, and sun baking. We had fish and chips for dinner from the bridge takeaway and Loz and I walked to the airfield for a coffee in the morning. Sleeping on the boat was the best thing I have done for ages, falling asleep looking at the stars, listening to the tiny waves brushing against the boat all night and the mornings are so relaxed…… it feels amazing!
It’s no Barrier Reef, but it’s better than working 😎Read more

Lauren and I really enjoy heading out for a meal together and this may have to change as money will definitely be tight servicing another rental loan. But…..
Hopefully this will mean many more outings in the long run 😊

Year 6 Farewell

This week we celebrated Lachie finishing primary school.

It started off with a beautiful assembly, reminiscent of all the kids primary school days.

And finished off with a farewell dinner and disco.

It was so incredibly cute seeing Lachie finish off primary school with the mate he started his preschool adventures with, Lucas. These two are two peas in a pod, and Lachie has been lucky to have such an incredible friend, even after three years of traveling they reunited like they had never spent a day a part.

Lucas’s dad organised a car to take the kids to their farewell, which was a lovely gesture and made for a fun afternoon.

While the kids enjoyed their night, us parents who have become friends over the years enjoyed and drink and dinner together, before heading over for the parent/child dance.

Lachie, Lucas and Jonah all partied on at Lucas’s house having a sleep over and scamming the day off school.Read more

At yr 6 Grad they present each child with their yr6 photo, their yr 6 placemat and a really lovely list of comments from the children in their class .

Christmas Day 2025

Who would have thought we would have been up so early again this year! Now the boys are older I thought we would get a sleep in on Christmas Day, but no! Lachie was excited and couldn’t sleep, at 5am I heard him up again, this time he woke his brother up, so it was time for presents.

After a walk, some egg nog, breakfast mimosas and ham and cheese croissants it was time to head to mum and dad’s.

A lovely lunch and catch up with family, then off to Lyn and Gary’s house for a few hours before crawling into bed, pooped!Read more
