The weather was better than predicted, so I spend my afternoon at the beach reading and learning vocab. Back home, I played some games with Nanaka and Leo and draw until 10 o'clock.

Even though the weather was much better than predicted, we went to the cinema to see John Wick.
For me there were way too many shooting scenes, so I felt uncomfortable most of the time. Therefore, Selina and Michel had something to laugh about :)
The next time, I go to the cinema I will watch the trailer in advance.

    Flat Tyre...
I woke up at 4.15 a.m., got ready, and wanted to start riding my bike to Beatty Park, but my bike had a different idea. Therefore, I was supposed to walk to school, but it rained so badly that Kerry drove me to school.
In the afternoon, I took part in the boxing and exercising activity from the school, which was a nice and sweaty experience. Hence, I went down to the beach to take a shower and watch the sea.
Luckily, it did not rain while I was walking home, which was the perfect opportunity to take some nice pictures.

I went swimming in the morning at Bold Park, bought new shoes in the afternoon, and spontaniously met Selina in the city.
At 7 p.m. I met some of the surfer girls at Pica Bar. We had some wine and snacks there and then went to another bar.
The highlight of the evening was definitely the hidden whiskey bar (Sneaky Tony's) with its hidden club. The music in the club was mostly from the 70's and 80's century. We had an amazing time.

    Mother's Day
In the morning, I went down to Triggs Beach, and the conditions which I found there were perfect for surfing. Sadly, not all the girls managed to come because some were lying at home with a hangover 🤣.

Back home, I helped Kerry prepare the lunch for which all her sons and their families and her sister came. We were sitting at the table and talking for some hours, and then the other host students and I went down to the sea for a walk. We ended up watching the sunset and then returning for dinner.

Start of My Trip to Exmouth

We departed at 7.30 am from Perth. As soon as we collected all the people, we headed first to Lancelin where we were sandbording. Our next stop was at the commonknown Pinnacles. We had lunch in Green Head where we had a fantastic view to the beach and after another drive, we arrived in Geralton where we winded down our day. We swam in the calm sea, watched the sunset and ate lasagne made by Darren (Tour Guide). After dinner we watched the Life of Brian which was funny but sometimes hard to understand.Read more

    Day 2
That night, I did not sleep very well, and at 5 a.m., I was annoyed enough that I got up and went down to the beach to practice some yoga. It was amazing to see the sun coming up.
After breakfast, we went up to the HMAS SYDNEY II MEMORIAL. Where we had a beautiful view over Geralton and the sea.
It took us some hours to arrive at Horrocks, where it was time for a swim, a walk, and lunch.
Our next stop was the Pink Lake that has its color due to red bacteria
Before we arrived in the town of Kalbarri, we stopped twice at the cost with its overwhelming cliffs. In Kalbarri, we watched the sun going down into the river and enjoyed a bottle of wine.

Participants on the tour were as in the image from left to right: Heather (Kanada, Mother), Mischu, Tim(othy) (British, flirty), moi :), Eline (Dutch, always laughing), Evie (Dutch, we spoke to much said Mischu), Michelle and Dave (US, married), Saar (Belgium, loves hugs), Robin (US, traveled a lot), Fiona (originally British but since 12 years in Australia, needed to work two hours after her flight arrived in Sydney)

    Day 3
We departed early this morning and drove through the Kalbarri National Park first. Our first two stops were at the Nature's Window and Kalbarri Skywalk, where we had a breathtaking view over the Murchison River. After that, we hiked down through red stones and Eucalyptus trees to the Z-Bend. Down there, we saw a cute wallaby.
At Shelly Beach, we were taken aback by the clear blue water in which the sunshine reflected.
Today's journey ended up in Monkey Mia. We took a bath in the shallow water of the sea and watched the dolphins and pelicans swimming by while enjoying another fascinating sunset.

    Day 4
Exercising while watching the sunrise was the first thing I did today. After breakfast, we hurried down to the beach again to watch a dolphin experience. But the dolphins did and did not come. We were already about to leave when they suddenly arrived. To see the dolphins coming that close was an experience which I will never forget.
The rest of the day, we spent mostly on the bus. In the late afternoon, we finally arrived at the Warroora Station in the Tropic of Capricorn. The owner of the farm drove us in his pick-up down to the sea, where we watched one of the most beautiful sunsets which I have ever seen. The sun projected crepescular rays on the sky, and we enjoyed our bottle of wine.
As soon as it got dark, a million stars popped up in the sky, and we pointed out several star signs.

    Day 5

In the early morning, while the sun was rising, we left the farm and drove up to Shark Bay. There, we spent our day at the beach and went on a snorkling tour in the afternoon. It was amazing to watch the fish that were swimming underneath us in the Ningaloo Reef.
We finally arrived in Exmouth in the early evening. We ate dinner and drank some wine out of the gune and then went to the bar for dancing, but we did not like the music. Nevertheless, we left the bar only after midnight. We ramled around the city for about an hour and went to bed.

We went snorkling in the crystal blue water at Turquoise Bay in the morning. Surprisingly, I saw a sting ray and a Black-spotted Porcupinefish, Diodon.
At Vlamingh Head Lighthouse, we had a beautiful view over the Bay and the countryside of Exmouth.
Last but not least, we were taken aback by the beauty of the Charles Knife Canyon.
We enjoyed our last dinner all together at the restaurant.

    Surfing and Kalamunda Nationalpark

What is nicer than starting the day with a surf session? To surf towards the sunrise and watch dolphins swimming by when you watch out for the perfect waves! Breathtaking!

I decided to go to the Kalamunda Nationalpark by myself, and it was totally worth it.
Firstly, you just enter a forest but then suddenly an overwhelming view opens up over the whole national park. The birds break the silence, and if you are attentive, you can spot wallabies and kangaroos. The way to an from the Rocky Pool was definitely more spectacular than the attraction itself. Maybe it would be nicer if it is filled up with water.
This brings me back to the quote that it is not about the achievement of your goals but about your journey to get there.

Originally we went out to celebrate Cecy's birthday eventhough we did not really know her. However, we had an amazing time in Avery's and then in the Magnet House. We had not had a good start at Magnet House because firstly they did not want to let Mischu in and then the music in the main club was hardcore techno but luckily there was another part with hiphop.

We returned home at 5.30 am. Therefore I did not do much during the rest of the day.
