Last day of our trip

We are now quite familiar with the trains from Ealing into London. The rains go so frequently that if the next train is 6 mins away we think we are waiting a long time! Claire and I are almost the only ones wearing masks on the tube or in museums, galleries etc., in spite of there being a sharp rise in COVID cases in London.

We visited the Museum of London which is a fantastic history of London, and a place you need to back to several times to do it justice. Then it was the Guildhall Art Gallery which is built over aroma amphitheatre, and again, deserves more time than we had to spare.

Home to pack, have our last dinner in London (I was hoping for a drink at our local a few doors up, but the tennis was more interesting …) and a reasonably early night. fortunately we can get a train to Heathrow from Ealing station.Read more
