York

In spite of our trepidation, a taxi arrived in time to take us to the station to catch the train to York, which took about three hours.

Our hotel, The Raddison, is overpriced but very convenient as it is in the centre of town.

After dropping our bags we wandered through the town stopping first at the Treasury, then to the Yorkshire Museum.
