Blair Atholl

The summer lasted a day: it rained last night and much of today. Fortunately it stopped enough for us to walk to the station to catch the train to Blair Atholl, which was about 20 mins late.

We had to walk nearly 2 km to our accommodation in Blair Athol in slight drizzle. This must be the prettiest town in Scotland! And our guesthouse is really lovely. We are pleased we’re staying here for two nights.

The weather cleared enough for us to have a walk mid afternoon, followed by a drink at one of the pubs. Whilst there, we chatted to a couple of women, two sisters from Dundee, who work for the NHS. They come here fairly often for a ‘break away from it all’. We had a vey interesting chat about a range of topics.
