I think I almost broke the oldies. However, after a slap up meal and wine they should feel no pain. It was a much tougher day today with a lot of climbs and in turn descents which if you’re not used to them can be a bit tough. That said 10/10 for effort and achievement. We made more stops including a great cafe for lunch with freshly made tortilla and bread. Tonight we feasted on entrecôte with peppercorn sauce. Just 11 hours away is breakfast !! Tomorrow is a much shorter day so I may walk on or explore a bit once we reach our destination.Read more

Today I set off solo as I kinda did break the oldies yesterday. It’s been drizzly rain all morning so you can’t blame them. For me today was a short 5.5 miles hopefully as the rain stops later I can step out and clock up a few more scouting tomorrow’s route. Today I left the oldies at the hotel with a plan to meet up after the huge climb. It turned out it was the right move as the terrain was a tad rough. As we walked on at the meet-up point Santa marta chapel so we happened upon my Camino friends and I arranged an evening meet up for beers and hotdogs. The oldies went off and had a wander and a spot of dinner and we met heading back into the hotel.Read more

Finished on 15.5 miles today. Arriving into Padron I got to go and collect our first credential of this Camino this is given to pilgrims who walk through Padron and visit the church. It’s a well kept secret and most people miss out. Once I got mine I the sprinted back with the oldies credentials to get theirs. All in all a good day and now showered and changed looking forward to dinner.Read more

Final day today. Started in the dark ready to catch the sunrise but unfortunately cloud cover scuppered my plans. I ended on 18 miles and went out on the razz with my American friends from Charlotte to celebrate. A few beers have been consumed and some unhealthy food too.
