Neddies Harbour Inn, Gros Morne

Aug 5th - our 43rd Anniversary! Sunshine greeted us. Cheryl took their car to Rocky Harbour to have the brakes checked. She had a great visit with Rudy's father as the car was checked - needs wheel bearings to be fixed tomorrow. The rest of us drove to Broom Point, a windy point! and site of a long ago fishing village. Then to the start of the hike to Western Brook Pond (3k walk in over bog like terrain). There was then a 2 hour ferry boat ride down the fijord on a pleasant afternoon, followed by the hike back to the car. We were treated to a wonderful dinner by P&C and J&D for our Anniversary. It was delicious - I had lobster! More card games (Paul won) and off to bed.Baca selengkapnya
