Landing zone for the Aussies in June 1915. Hit the beach and straight up the hills. With machine guns blazing down on you - not fun. Large number of Turkish memorials up here as well.
Left the scenes of WW1 to travel to Çanakkale and our hotel for the night. 40 minute bus ride and a 30 minute ferry ride brings us to our hotel. Interesting WW1 display at the ferry dock. We eat Czytaj więcej

Great stop. We went in groups of six to different families to eat. Great food- interesting to see how Turkish families eat and live in the country

5;30 pm - arrive in Izmir - population 4.5 million
Arrived our hotel at 6:30 pm. Had dinner a half hour later. Went to the room - crashed immediately. Still trying to get over the jet lag.
