Well some very serious 4WDing to get to this location. The rocky river crossing took 8 minutes. But the views were amazing.
One night or maybe more - depending on which solution we come up with to replace the shock absorbers on Pj and Tim’s van. Nice scones at the homestead today.
Got to the roadhouse at 1pm so P&T decided to go straight to see Neville the mechanic. 30k down the road. Got the four shock absorbers replaced. Back to camp by sunset. Photos of the Mount BarnetMeer informatie

Great facilities, and well managed campground. But not much shade. Visited Galvan Gorge on the way. Bit of a clamber over rocks to get there. Tim and Len helped me over the difficult bits.
Very busy site. At some times the rangers lock the gate and people line up and are only let in as someone leaves. Not the case on this visit - Tim, Len and P-j visited early and it was not crowded atMeer informatie
Mount Hart was a lovely way to end the GRR. The campsite is beside a lovely river and the station has a great bar and restaurant. P-j and I did the laundry and drank espresso coffee and checked theMeer informatie
The Gibb River Road is behind us now. A couple of nights in Derby to restock, so some repairs and head off to the Dampier peninsular. Derby has a very long jetty, the prison boab tree and a quirkyMeer informatie
