After 34 hours of travelling Brisbane - Sheffield I've made it home. Especial thanks to sis and Mark for collecting me from Manchester Airport - hugely appreciated 😆 And thanks to Sarah for getting supplies in and making my house look so welcoming. It's fantastic to travel and see so much and have so many adventures and still to feel happy walking in the door and reacquainting myself with home.
How green everywhere looks - and different to rainforest green. A soft, lush green. Lovely.Leia mais
ViajanteOh I love working out where I've flown over from pics 😎 This is the Karun River in Iran, upstream from the Gotvand (hydroelectric) Dam (further W/left). I took the pic because the landscape was so dramatic. These are the Zagros Mountains, which are growing as the Arabian and Eurasian tectonic plates collide.
ViajanteI didnt have too many chances to take pics during the journey - either it was night, I was asleep or over Europe there was lots of cloud cover. But coming in to land I got this shot of the chain of reservoirs along the A628 Woodham Pass from Tintwistle / Hadfield. 19 miles to ho to Manchester Airport ☺
