  • Mini Palm Gorge Walk

    30 Ogos 2023, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 32 °C

We didn't all quite make it up the gorge, it was a hot exposed track and after Echidna Chasm was getting to the hottest part of the day.

Olivia and Dad stopped in the dry creek bed about 1km in, and mum kept exploring to the start of the mini palm gorge. After some rock hopping, crawling through a rock tunnel, mum decided to head back and got the privilege of carrying Oli back to the car.Baca lagi

  • Echidna Chasm - Bungle Bungles

    30 Ogos 2023, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

Echidna Chasm, our first walk in the Bungle Bungles and so amazing. The walk in was beautiful through the creek bed, palm trees with amazing red cliffs towering above. But the highlight was the 11.30 phenomenon when the sun is directly above the chasm and shines straight down, creating the illusion of lava flowing 🙌Baca lagi

  • Purnululu National Park

    29 Ogos 2023, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

The Spring Creek Track into Purnululu National Park is quite rough in spots, with washed out Creek crossings, corrugations and steep rocky incline/declines. But getting to experience the Bungle Bungles is a trip highlight. The remoteness makes the Park quieter than others and definitely more enjoyable.Baca lagi

  • Prison Boab

  • Secret Springs

    26 Ogos 2023, Australia ⋅ 🌬 31 °C

What an amazing little treasure Secret Springs is! Joel had lots of fun on the 4WD track in with 8 water crossings and a mix of sand rocky sections. Mum scaled the waterfall to get to the top for some spectacular views and we all enjoyed a cool off in the beautiful waterhole.

We definitely agree that Secret Springs is well worth the track in and is one of our favourite spots so far!

  • Ord River Campsite

    25 Ogos 2023, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 33 °C

Our home for a few nights, right on the rocky river bed of the Ord River. Peace and quiet, fishing, camp-fires and exploring.

We learnt to listen to the wife when it comes to up/down stream 🤣 so we don't reverse the car and caravan back up a narrow track cause we hit a dead end and couldn't turn round 🙄Baca lagi

  • Discovery Lake Argyle

    24 Ogos 2023, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

The best end to a big day in the car yesterday, a cool off in this amazing infinity pool! The view is definitely worth the effort in getting here. Plus mumma decided dinner was being cooked by someone else, so we treated ourselves to dinner at the restaurant and was rewarded by live music and Oli having a play with some kids. Winning!Baca lagi

We punched out a huge days drive and crossed our 3rd border, this time into Western Australia! • Edith Falls

    23 Ogos 2023, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 33 °C

The biggest natural pool to date to swim in, and boy was it a welcome sight! After a hot day driving, we were all very happy to have a cool dip. Dad was a superhero and swam with Olivia on his back all the way to the waterfall and back which was quite a long way!

We had planned on staying 2 nights at Edith Falls, but as the planned walk looked super hot and exposedand the NP caravan sites also hot, we decided to pack up and go the next day and head west.

A 3.4km return walk winds along the creek to this beautiful plunge pool. A welcome swimming spot on a hot day. We were lucky enough to see a water monitor when we arrived who was happily sunning itself on the warm rocks.

Olivia once again was amazing, walking the track herself and kept getting up after each stumble.

This walk is part of the Reynolds 4WD track in southern Litchfield NP.
