  • Sandy Point

    November 4, 2023, Indian Ocean ⋅ 🌩️ 27 °C

Another fun Coastal 4x4 Track from Coral Bay bought us into Warroora Station and the very picturesque Sandy Point Campground. Situated a stones throw from the beautiful turquoise Waters, and with Mabel protecting us from the southerly winds, we have enjoyed a couple of quiet, relaxing days on the southern Ningaloo Coastline.

Joel hooked but lost a huge fish that finally took the doomed lure, Oli loved finding the shells and sea sponges and "caught" a crab 🦀. It was definitely worth the two almost too steep sand dunes poor Mitch had to tow big bottom Mabel up to get here.

  • Sacha-Belles Spot

    November 5, 2023 in Australia ⋅ 🌩️ 30 °C

Oh wow, did we pick the perfect morning to visit this beautiful spot on the Warroora Station Coastline. There was hardy any breeze, the tide was low enough to swim in the tidal rockpools and the sun was shining.

We had so much fun exploring the little pools, searching for fish, corals and shells. A walk along the beach uncovered caves in the rock shelf, beautiful rock patterns and a kangaroo hopped down the beach!

  • Warroora Station Rain

    November 6, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 26 °C

We woke up this morning to the sound of thunder, winds blowing and we were thankful to be heading off today. We hoped to drive through the rain storm that was passing south of Warroora Station over Lake Macleod but we just missed two rain cells and all we got was a few big spots to make the already salty, dirty car look even worse!Read more

  • Quobba Blowholes

    November 6, 2023 in Australia ⋅ 🌬 25 °C

The weather was perfect for the Blowholes to be blowing. Big swell, rough seas and a rising tide. It was amazing to witness!

We were getting blown away up at Quobba Lighthouse in today's weather! But it was spectacular none the less!

  • Point Quobba

    November 6, 2023 in Australia ⋅ 🌬 23 °C

We settled on a spot at a very windy, dreary day at Quobba but were rewarded with a beautiful sunset after a break in the weather. Tonight was the first night eating in the van because the weather was so atrocious! Oli was excited as we spotted Hugo's orange van and was lovely to have a quick catch up!Read more

  • Wooramel Riverside Retreat

    November 10, 2023 in Australia ⋅ 🌬 27 °C

Wooramel was another fantastic station stay, with a super impressive looking cafe and community area (unfortunately again we were too late in the season to enjoy), the Artesian Hot Baths and such a picturesque 'upside down' river, we stopped in an amazing spot with a swing hung from the river gums, in the river bed where Oli played for hours. Mother Nature's playground. A station with something for everyone. We thoroughly loved our overnight stay despite the ferocious winds that blew a gale all day and all night!Read more

    November 10, 2023 in Australia ⋅ 🌬 29 °C

Dad was treated to a 4WD track through the station, down to the waters of Shark Bay, past the old Sheering Sheds and across the river bed. We enjoyed discovering different areas of the Station, getting up close to the resident cows and discovering the past history of the Station.Read more

  • Wooramel Artesian Baths

    November 10, 2023 in Australia ⋅ 🌬 27 °C

Who can say no to an Artesian Hot Spring bath, especially when they look this inviting! The water was warm, dad & Oli came out looking like an Oompa Loompa thanks to the high iron content and mum had a great laugh at their expense. The best thing was an early morning dip when we had the baths all to ourselves, watching the morning sun rise.Read more

  • Feeling Thankful

    November 11, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

Oh our goodness, what a day. After a slow morning we were 2nd on the scene of a caravan roll-over accident in the middle of nowhere. Luckily the passengers were not injured, but their van is a complete right-off having flipped on its roof. With no phone signal they were unable to call for assistance. We thankfully have a personal SOS device that we could call for help, we always hope we never have to use it, but thankful that we had it to help another fellow traveller. The amazing travelling caravan community stopped to help, it's definitely a reminder to stay safe in the road and not to swerve for a goanna crossing the road.Read more

Despite this, we loved roaming around the homestead discovering the past which enjoyed us the hot spring bath to ourselves!Read more

We had an unexpected overnight after tyre troubles and this was worth the extra night. A fabulous low cost camp, overlooking Shark Bay, not too windy and another beautiful sunset.
