Made it to Castrojeriz today, 13 more mile down the road.... not alot to look at in the Meseta section.. lots of harvested grain fields, sunflowers and dirt. Here are a few pictures from today.

Started off on a foggy morning. Going up hill but not as steep as previous days. Good day for a walk. Sandi said it was like Brigadoon but not our year. The first two towns we came to we’re notWeiterlesen
We had a short day today, but one monster hill to climb. The hill was 1050 meters with a 12% grade, the view from the top was spectacular. Not alot of photos today, but I included the church we wentWeiterlesen
Started out before sunrise but you could see. Before us was a hill that was a 12 percent grade. Something that normal people don’t walk. And yet here we go as well as a hundred other pilgrims. SandiWeiterlesen

Today started in the dark. Coffee and breakfast had to wait till the next town. Worth it with great coffee and an egg sandwich big enough to share. A lovely morning walk along the Canal de Castillo,Weiterlesen

The Meseta continues to be surprisingly beautiful. Quirky towns and friendly locals make this my favorite part so far. Each day brings new surprises
