Aruba

Who would have thought breaking down in San Juan and missing the extra day in Aruba was a good thing!

Not much on this island. Tours take you to a natural rock bridge which collapsed in 2005, an abandoned lighthouse and the rocky coastline. But the guide was full of facts and information so that was interesting.

If you have to spend two days anywhere it should be Antigua or Barbados.

Also this second cruise goes back to St Croix and St Kitts. Again why!!!! At least the repeat visit to Antigua will be good.

At the end of the tour we get dropped off at a beach crowded with rental beach loungers and cruisers.

Thinking of how fabulous Balmoral beach (go each sunday to watch my niece do her nippers thing then have a swim) and Australian beaches are.

No lounges or umbrellas left for rent. Manage to rent a plastic chair for $10US for mum. We go up the back to get some shade from the trees. Crammed in with lots of other cruisers.

Happy to go back to the boat. No decent shopping.

Eat ice cream.
