Naples, Sorrento, Salerno & the Amalfi c

Our cruise ship, the Oosterdam, is docking in Naples. We are being picked up by a bus and taken to Sorrento to get on a motor launch tour of the rocky and dramatic Amalfi coast for a couple of hours. We will walk up the hill to another gorgeous Cathedral and then have some free shopping time. Then we will be bussed to lunch at the beautiful sea coast town of Salerno for some more sightseeing and a return to our ship-9 1/2 hours 😀This is hard work; poor us😀

This was spectacular!!! The Amalfl coast had gorgeous light on it and was everything that I had heard it could be😀. This was a Strenuous day and Paula exceeded all expectations-even hiking up a huge number of steps to the Cathedral! It was an incredible experience- I felt this overwhelming sense of peace and power when we were in this thousand year old chapel. I had to stay still, crisscross my arms over my chest and try to just absorb the sensations of something stronger and more powerful than myself.
We got home, went straight to an excellent supper and went to our room. As we stood on our balcony , watching as our ship left the port of Naples recede into the twinkling nighttime lights, we were serenaded by a group of 20 beautiful seagulls that were gliding alongside our balcony-an unbelievable end to a great day!Meer informatie
