La Puebla De Arganzon

A day that was half wet and half windy through hills and countryside with a 200 m climb. The 3 small settlements we passed through had nothing to offer so no breakfast or coffee today. Arrived in LaLeer más
Burgueta

A nice warm and dry day for a walk through some very pleasant countryside. Passing through the first small settlement of the day but no cafe. Snow is visible on the tops of distant mountains but atLeer más
Arminon

Another small settlement with no coffee but in the river, under the bridge in the picture there were mirror carp in excess of 30 lbs grubbing up the river bed.
Miranda del Ebro

An excellent albergue and very, very well protected from the locals. Doors and gates locked at all times and laundry guarded. This must be the most well provided albergue we have yet seen andLeer más
Pancorbo pass

The highlight of today's walk is the Ebro Valley and the Pancorbo pass.
High up above Pancorbo

Managed to find an even higher climb above Pancorbo after lunch. So much easier to climb without a rucksack.
Half way today Zuneda

Long slog over an increasingly high plato of agricultural fields. Started the day early in very thick mist for 2 hours which slowly burnt off.
Grisalena

Another one horse town with no services or facilities. So cold now because the wind is blowing over the snow covered mountains straight over the plato. Needing to walk with one hand holding my hat onLeer más

A nice compact town but the new albergue is not finished and not open yet so the tourist office have arranged for us to stay in a social housing flat that is being kept free as a reserve albergue.Leer más
Quintanavides

It is far too cold to be walking in the countryside. The day started at 5 degrees and with a very sharp west wind feels even colder. Walked 15 km before finding a source of coffee and tortilla. NotLeer más
