We’ve been parked up in the ferry port for 24 hours waiting for the weather to abate! Finally the sunshine has come out and we’re off to Castlebay on Barra.

12: 40 we set sail on the MV Isle of Lewis from Oban bound for Castlebay. The ship had sailed 22 hours from Aberdeen overnight after its annual refit. There was plenty of room on the car deck. We wereLeggi altro

The ferry arrived at 17:30 and we set off for the most southern point of the islands for our cycle start point. The beach at Vatersay is beautiful with bleached white sand and turquoise water.
