Took the bus from Don Det to Siem Reap, crossing the border near Don Det.
Rented bikes and explored the city.
War Museum, Phane Circus, Angkor Wat.
TravelerSiem Reap Pub Hostel. Pretty good. Had a pool and restaurant. Staff was very helpful for booking things

Chi Phat, Cardamom Mountains

First night in Chi Phat community. Had dinner at the Ecotourism community center and went lobster fishing (actually like shrimps) near the village.
Spent 2 nights in the jungle sleeping in hammocks, water bottle shower near a small creek, saw a Gibbon (monkey), a couple snakes, hornbill birds, black scorpions under a log. Our guide (Leeheng) was an ex-poacher, he showed us different animal tracks and droppings (elephant, wild dogs, summer deer, civet cats). Stayed 2nd night near a waterfall where we could cliff dive, swim, and sit in the waterfall getting a water massage.
Got back to the community center just after lunch and relaxed, it was very hot outside! Went for a walk and then got invited for beers and peanuts with our jungle cook (Mr. Chin) outside his house. Spent another night at the homestay then headed to Sihanoukville the next day.Read more

Beach chilling, played volleyball at Mad Monkey hostel, won volleyball tournament and a beer tower (was only 1 casual game), chilled in hammocks with Stephen (USA) and Tord (Norway).

Beautiful resort. Boat trip: Snorkelling, diving off the boat, fishing, fish fry, sunset, swimming with bioluminescent plankton in pitch black.

Sandy, challenging motorbike rike into the resort. Chill stay at Lonely Beach. Snorkelling and beach/jungle gym. Cards, drinks, and hoots with Norwegian friends (Tord and Robin). Watched crabs dig and scurry on rocks.Read more

Yoga, games, spikeball at Sea Shell hostel, good vibe. Played games with Steph (Germany) and English couple staying near us. Smashed foot on an anchor playing spikeball.
Chinese New Year had bonfire and free beer at our Guesthouse, chatted with interesting German couple (guy with scrotum tattoo).
Sat around with a broken foot.Read more
TravelerSok Mean Bungalows. Budget rooms were okay but had paper thin walls with other rooms immediately next. Could hear everything. Single unit bungalows could have been okay.

Last stop before heading to New Zealand!
Not much here, chilled at our resort-style hostel for 2 days before our flight left.
Enjoyed our nice room and the pool.
TravelerOnederz hostel in a private room, highly recommended.
