Took a day trip to Enoshima Island south of Tokyo. Started off via the stunning Tokyo Station to get a train to Orifuna then a Monorail to Enoshima. The Enoshima Iwaya caves on the island wereEn savoir plus
Finished up a huge day with a walk around the Imperial Palace.
No visit to Tokyo is complete without a visit to Shibuya crossing. Being a Sunday, it was relatively quiet.
Headed straight for Shinjuku to check out Godzilla and visit the Botanical Gardens where the Cherry Blossoms are starting to get into full swing.
Arrived in Tokyo in the late afternoon and checked out the area around our hotel for dinner. Great location, only 3 subway stops for Tokyo Central Station.
Last day in Kyoto before heading back to the craziness of Tokyo. Checked out some of the old Kyoto trams that have been replaced by Japan's incredible rail system.
Spent the morning down at the Nara deer park getting harassed by frisky deer, then took a walk through the Nara forest before finishing up with a walk through the Kofuku-ji Kokuhokan National TreasureEn savoir plus
Cherry blossom season has started two weeks early this year, so lots of photos....
Dotonbori, what else is there to say. Found a brilliant little sushi bar in a side street and indulged ourselves on some amazing sashimi and muso style sake. Yum!
