    This is Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, the largest salt flats in the world. nearly 14000-sq.-km. landscape of bright-white salt, rock formations and cacti-studded islands. t’s the legacy of a prehistoric lake that went dry, leaving behind a desertlike, Imagine an area — even larger than some countries — that is blanched completely white and so flat that the variance in height from any single point to another is less than a meter.

    Every year, this incredible landscape is visited by tourist from all around the world to contemplate the beauty of this wonderful place. during the raining time is covered with a thin layer of water and the salt flat turns into the largest mirror on the planet and the results are mesmerising. however if you visit Uyuni during the dry season the salt flat also offer an spectacular salt formation on the surface like it has been made by hand.
