Backpacking 2025

So the day after a good sleep started with a great breakfast in a Restaurant nearby.
The food was awesole, I had a fruit salad with toast and mashed avocados on top of it and some coffe and O-Jouice for like... 5€?
It still amazes me how good the food tastes down here and how cheap the pricec are.
After that I send us on a mission to the Werdhi Budaya Temple/Art Galerie.
Which took us ~ 1 ½ hour.

The heat was very present and the overall heavy traffic made it at some points difficult to move forwoard.
Traffic Rules are more like a recomendation but I have to say in all the Chaos theres still some sort of order.⚖️
But overall the walk to the Temple was really interesting, there was many to see from scrapy, open roads and shops to luxuary shops roof to roof that was a bit bizzate but whatever. I really like the building style cause they give everything so simple so much meaning and beauty that we in the West often forget or make practical anf simple.
Like just normal doors or gates have so much details and creativity in it that I often had to make a stop and just look at it.🎨🖼

Over all of Bali I say many of little Plant Bundles with flowers and Rice and other stuff in it. I later asked a Local Woman about it and she explained it that its called "Canang Sari" and its a daily offering to the gods that expresses thankfulness to the supreme deity (Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa) for life, safety, and prosperity.

At the temple I often reconized the same statue or painting of a bird like person and after doing my research I found out it shows the mount of a god, named Garuda which is very Important for especially Bali but i cant bring you the whole mythologie here cause the blog would never end.

After that we walked back and took a sight at the Bajra Sandhi Monument but just from the outside cause we were getting really hungry.
Food was overall great and the sight next to the sea with some cold ones to finish was like the cherry on top. 🍻🏖
We finished the day with a quick "dive" in the sea, (the water was mostly gone out of the reef cause of the flood) and a dinner in a Pub

Der Tag begann nach einer erholsamen Nacht mit einem tollen Frühstück in einem nahegelegenen Restaurant. Das Essen war fantastisch. Ich hatte einen Obstsalat mit Toast und zerdrückten Avocados und Kaffee und Orangensaft für etwa 5 €. Es erstaunt mich immer noch, wie gut das Essen hier schmeckt und wie günstig die Preise sind. Danach schickte ich uns auf eine Mission zum Werdhi-Budaya-Tempel/zur Kunstgalerie. Wir brauchten ungefähr 1,5 Stunden.
Eine Richtung.🚶🏼‍♂️🚶🏻‍♂️
Die Hitze war sehr stark, und der starke Verkehr machte es an manchen Stellen schwierig, voranzukommen. Verkehrsregeln sind eher eine Empfehlung, aber ich muss sagen, in all dem Chaos gibt es immer noch eine gewisse Ordnung. ⚖️
Aber insgesamt war der Spaziergang zum Tempel wirklich interessant.
Es gab viel zu sehen, von holprigen, offenen Straßen und Geschäften bis hin zu Luxusgeschäften Dach an Dach.
Das war zwar etwas bizarr, aber egal.
Ich mag diesen Baustil sehr, weil er allem so Schlichten so viel Bedeutung und Schönheit verleiht, was wir im "Westen" oft vergessen oder praktisch und einfach halten.
Ganz normale Türen und Tore stecken so voller Details und Kreativität, dass ich oft stehen bleiben und sie einfach nur betrachten musste.🎨🖼

Überall auf Bali sah ich viele kleine Pflanzenbündel mit Blumen, Reis und anderen Dingen darin. Später fragte ich eine Einheimische danach, und sie erklärte mir, dass es „Canang Sari“ heißt und eine tägliche Opfergabe an die Götter ist, die Dankbarkeit gegenüber der höchsten Gottheit (Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa) für Leben, Sicherheit und Wohlstand ausdrückt.

Im Tempel erkannte ich oft dieselbe Statue oder Malerei einer vogelähnlichen Person wieder, und nach einigen Recherchen fand ich heraus, dass sie das Reittier eines Gottes namens Garuda zeigt, der besonders für Bali sehr wichtig ist. Ich kann euch hier aber nicht die ganze Mythologie erzählen, da der Blog sonst endlos wäre.

Danach gingen wir zurück und besichtigten das Bajra Sandhi Monument, allerdings nur von außen, da wir langsam hungrig wurden. Das Essen war insgesamt hervorragend, und der Blick aufs Meer mit ein paar kühlen Getränken zum Abschluss war das Tüpfelchen auf dem i. 🍻🏖
Wir beendeten den Tag mit einem kurzen „Sprung“ ins Meer (das Wasser war wegen der Flut größtenteils aus dem Riff verschwunden) und einem Abendessen in einem Pub.Weiterlesen
