St Peter of Gallicantu

This is the place where Jesus was tried by the Jewish Supreme Court and found guilty. He was then sentenced to death. This church had three levels, the first level had icons depicting Jesus’ trial. The second level had images outlining Peter’s denial of Jesus and the third level was the dungeon in which Jesus was held before him appearing in front of Pontius Pilate.Leggi altro
