Newcastle Departure

The process through the port was actually relatively painless, even with additional COVID measures. We parked up and were directed to drop off our luggage. We then showed proof of vaccination, travel insurance and boarding passes before being given a lateral flow test kit and a coloured sticker. We took the tests and handed them in before taking a seat in the waiting area. Once all a colour was clear we were called to get on a bus to checkin.

We unpacked and changed before heading to a bar and watching the sail away from Deck 11. The view was rather enlivened by a fire on the shoreline. The food at Latitude for dinner was superb, and so we indulged in some lovely duck and prosecco before heading off around the ship for a few more drinks.
