At sea (as always!)

First day and a day at sea, and a chance to catch up on some sleep. I unthinkingly ventured on to the balcony before breakfast to be assaulted with very hot and muggy conditions! After breakfast in the buffet, we listened to a very interesting police detective talk about how to solve murders.

The pools on the top deck of the ship were crammed full given the beautiful day, and the bar downstairs full of football fans watching a match. So we retreated to our cabin for a quiet pint and tried to brave the balcony but after five minutes decided it was just too hot!

An afternoon spent puzzling in the cabin out of the heat before black tie night. We took vast advantage of the free prosecco at the first captain's welcome, before a lovely four course dinner and back to the second speech for more free prosecco! We briefly ventured outside but even in the night the heat was still stifling, unaided by the fact we accidentally wandered into the smokers area. We will not be visiting that again.もっと詳しく
