So, up early to breakfast, pack and get home, as we dock in a grey and drizzly Southampton.

Final night on board, and we went back to the Olive Grove for dinner. In fact, we've only eaten one meal in the main restaurant as the Olive Grove is such a sedate and spacious restaurant. We only ventured up to the Horizon buffet on Deck 15 once during the week.

Fabulous time had on this cruise, visiting lots of new places despite the stops being ones we'd ported at before. The Iona was little more than somewhere for us to eat, drink, and sleep for us. As a bigger ship than we'd ordinarily choose, and with it being half term, there were lots of children on board. The events programme was relatively lacklustre as usual, but that's not an issue for us. The cabin was lovely and well appointed, and the balcony was massive, although cold North Sea winds meant we couldn't sit out there much! We hadn't really planned to go on any excursions, but the two we ended up on were good.

As we got off at Southampton, Ben noticed this story had made news about a norovirus outbreak (not what Ben had!) on our ship! - https://news.sky.com/story/passengers-dropping-…

We think this was clearly a rather grumpy passenger, and it's not reflective of our experience. There were enhanced hygiene protocols, but we've also had that before on ships. Entertainment was rescheduled where it needed to be, no big deal. Clearly, some people were unwell, but the ship's crew dealt with things quickly and professionally.

And of course, we did not use a lift all week.
