    Day 1. London

    We’ve finally made it. Staying at adriana’s brothers place (Ealing). 30 mins from London.
    Ealing: home of big red mail box, small bus bench seat & Benny hill recording studio.

    Day 2. London rest day

    Sleep in. Leisurely breakfast. Caught train to oxford street. Absolutely LOVE the architecture. Saw Shaftesbury monument with anteros (Greek god of love for man) atop
    Can’t believe the scale of things - a 4 story Nike shop ( including DJ playing tunes) & 4 story M&M store!
    Dinner at a local burger chain then a few ales at the local pub. Very British!    Leer más

    Day 4. Naples

    Up early for drive up mt Vesuvio. Quick breakfast then walked around Naples for 6 hours enjoying its splendor. Amazing place featuring
    -Castelnuovo maschio angioino constructed by French kings in late 1200s
    -Vicolo st
    -Basilica st Francis of Paula

    Day 5. Pompeii & Sorrento

    Train to Pompeii. Amazing historical site. Back on train to Sorrento. Walked thru the town to get to beach. So glad we came - I love bondi BUT this is a whole new level. Sorrento = breathtaking. Train home. Day finished with another family dinner in our honor.Leer más

    Day 6 Capri

    Ferry from port of Napoli to Capri. Swim in morning. Capri bus to transit steep & narrow roads to last of family haven’t met. Amazing views on way up. Lunch there. Blue grotto was open in arvo - highlight of trip. More swimming & some daredevil rock jumping. Sit at bar overlooking magnificent vista. Heaven. Night walk around Capri. Brilliant dayLeer más

    Day 7. Capri

    Lovely breakfast at villa. Ride up to Seggiovia monte solaro (chair lift to top of Capri). Ultramagnificent views of a beautiful island ( including Faraglioni = 3 rocks In the sea). Walk around Capri town along Via vittorio emanuelle.
    Down to port riding the furnicolare di Capri. Goodbye magnificent Capri. Ferry back to porticello for last night with relatives.    Leer más

    Day 8. Naples to Rome

    Up early to catch fast train from Naples to Rome. Check in to hotel & walk to colosseum. Magnificent town. Evening walk around town including Trevi fountain- fantastic.

    Day 9. Rome

    Taxi to Vatican museum. Amazingly magnificent precinct. So hard to imagine it’s immense beauty. Sistine chapel awesome. Walk to St. Peter’s basilica. Equally amazingly brilliant. Got my pidgeon shot too Ev. Evening walk to pantheon, piazza novone & Spanish stepsLeer más

    Day 10. Rome to Florence

    Fast train from Rome to Florence. Another train then bus to Pisa. Great precinct. Obligatory tower photo. Walk around town taking more spectacular sights in:
    San Lorenzo basilica (Jitto designed bell tower).
    Duomo = biggest bricks & Morter cathedral
    Michaelangelos statue of David (replica). Neptune fountain.
    Pontevecchio

    Day 11. Florence to Venice

    Fast train to Venice. Walk around town (skinny laneways that snake around the town) crossing many bridges / water +++.
    Visit to galleria dell’accadema (housing davinci’s vitruvian man original sketch). Unfortunately no photos allowed.
    More unbelievable site seeing from the water boat.
    Walk around Piazza San Marco to see the magnificent San Marco basilica.
    Gondola ride to finish our Italian leg.

    Day 12. Venice to Paris

    Up early for long transit. Waterbus to bus to airport. 5 hours + all up.
    Tour of louvre - prob my most fav precinct & not to mention how unreal the actual museum was. Pics of venus do milo & Mona Lisa.
    Walk to Eiffel Tower, dinner & watch tower light display. A picturesque city & we’ve only scratched surface.    Leer más

    Day 13. Disneyland Paris

    Train to Disneyland Paris. AMAZING place. Massive venue, 2 parks, sensational fun. Got there at open (10am) & wanted to stay for closing light show (11 pm) - couldn’t last! Left at 7.
    Hope u enjoy the video of their brand new show - lion king. That & Pirates of Caribbean my fav attractions.
    Their Street parade an absolute mind blower - check out the dragon from sleeping beauty video

    Wanted to visit arc de triumph at night - got half way before asking taxi to turn back - Algeria soccer supporters celebrating their win in cup of nations had converged on arc - police everywhere - too dangerous for naive me.    Leer más

    Day 14. Paris back to London

    Sleep in & late checkout.
    Breakfast like the locals - pastries and eggs whilst facing street.
    Hop on / off bus tour of Paris. Champs elysees, arc, Eiffel & Notre-Dame photos. Also took pic of Hotel des invalides (Burial place of Napoleon bon aparte).
    Lunch beside Notre-Dame.
    Catch Eurostar from Paris back to London.

    Day 16. London

    Relaxing morning.
    Train & bus to Kensington palace. Nice residence (lots of princess Diana focus) & gardens.
    Lunch & walk around in Hyde park inc pic with English premier league cup & footage inside main arena - check out squirrel man.
    Quick pic of Albert hall (no time to go inside).
    Afternoon tea at harrods - great experience.
    Back on train

    Hampton Crt palace & gardens / London eye / London tower
    Busy day. Got driven to the remarkable Hampton Crt palace & it’s wonderful gardens.
    Train to London eye. Great experience & views.
    Train to London tower to view the crown jewels (amazing history & beauty - no photos allowed).

    Madame Toussauds, Westfield shopping, English pub for dinner

    Up early for 1st admission time to Madame Toussauds. Great complex - can’t believe how lifelike they are.
    Loz satisfied her shopping appetite at Westfield (bigger than chadstone!)

    Day 19 & 20. London

    Day 19: rest day all day. No action.
    Day 20: bus tour around London. Ticked off Buckingham palace (beautiful precinct) & #10 Downing st. Saw huge crowd at Trafalgar Square watching World Cup cricket (great game).

    Relaxing day. Luke’s 15th bday celebrated with one of his favorites - steak at a nice restaurant in trendy suburb of Richmond overlooking the Thames.
