Sorry for the lack of posts, WA has been way busier than we expected! Hopefully instagram is a bit easier to keep up to date!

    Video ⬆️

We found the perfect camp for us to set up and play with our new toy that we’ve put together along the trip.
Free and right in front of a boat ramp, one day was so windy and dusty that we were holed up inside all day
50yo little outboard motor, amazon inflatable boat and many bits and pieces from FB marketplace and BCF 🤣 . Add some cheap and easy Victorian boat licence/rego and it was almost worth the effort!
The girls were cautious but had a ball cruising up and down the river. No fish unfortunately

1Great day and night outTurns out you dont have to pay for a penguin tour! Just hang in the park after dark 🤣She basically ate the whole lot herself! From the scraps we were given, it was pretty damn good tooShort hike but the stairs were no jokeCopy catsWineglass bayLobster shack @ Bicheno. Awesome food and view

    2024年12月9日, オーストラリア ⋅ ☁️ 20 °C

    https://youtu.be/Oexe7Zgx68Q?feature=shared

A few nights camping by the pondering frog restaurant. It wasn’t a glamorous camp but it was the cheapest within a short drive to Freycinet national park and the town of Bicheno. All very nice areas not short of a beautiful spots to explore and hang out.
Ava caught her first squid minutes after picking up a rod, we had no luck for over an hour! Ella caught a small shark which went back in.
We cooked up some muscles after our fishing night and were greeted with lots of noisy penguins roaming the park!
We only visited the star attraction, wineglass bay in the national park. Weather not the greatest so it wasn’t as spectacular as we had hoped.
We loved the town of Bicheno a lot so we made a few trips to hang out around the place

A couple nights in the brewery paddock.
Quiet place with a fantastic beach right out front
A couple drinks and some games of pool capped off a great day at the beach
The fish was a wrasse which got turned into cerviche. Not the greatest catch but my first!

A week at in the Bay of fires area.
Weather temperamental, 100mm of rain one day, warm and sunny the next! We experienced all of Tassie’s extreme seasons in just a few days!
This beach has officially the most difficult sand to walk in! Great if you’re looking for a leg workout..
We had an exciting adventure after being stranded on the wrong side of a creek water crossing after the rain. Some of were concerned we would have to sleep in the bush!

Free camp across from the beach with a 72hr max stay…Tassie is awesome for free or very very cheap camps!
It was our first ‘beach’ camp after being bush for for long so we made sure to wander along the sand a few times.
The evening freight train out front was part of the charm and the kids kept reminding us of what happens in movies if you get your foot stuck in the railway tracks 😂

    📍Discovery Park Cradle Mountain, TAS

    2024年11月10日, オーストラリア ⋅ ☀️ 13 °C

Trinh’s brother joined us while revisiting Oz from the UK which was great.
The drive to Cradle mountain wasn’t short of big mountain climbs and descents, we chose the shortest route. The rig was certainly getting a workout! Afterwards we understood that most people come via the ‘easier way’!
There was no shortage of visitors to the park and it wasn’t even peak season. We were lucky this time to have clear sunny weather but as we left it turned quite the opposite.
Plenty of beautiful scenery and that clean air Tassie is known for.

A perfect 1st camp to kick off our Tassie tour only a short drive from the center of Launceston
Plenty of green grass, trees and hills…
Exactly what you would picture a Tassie farm to look like. The farm animals were an absolute hit!

Pre booked the crossing 10 months prior and we’re finally boarded for Tassie! Stoked as Tassie has been on our to visit list for years!
Ship was comfortable until we left the port of Melbourne and into the Bass Strait, that’s when we started pitching and dipping 😳
Definitely a power nap kind of sleep that night!
It was a big relief to see that the rig didn’t move a millimeter with the ship movements

We visited the Mornington Peninsula for a couple nights of clamping at a western themed ‘ranch’.

Base camp for exploring the rest of the Flinders Ranges was Rawnsley Park, a working sheep station.
The bush camp looked quite disappointing at the beginning but trekking further along the twisting tracks paid off.
