2022 Utah / Colorado Trip

Decided on hiking The Narrows today as opposed to yesterday or tomorrow due to the forecast. The forecast for today was sunny … no rain at all. The walls of the canyon are so tall you barely see the sun. We were ~3 miles into our hike when we heard thunder! Thunder!?! Then the wind (hot air) blew up the canyon and more thunder! With the recent flash floods here, we high tailed it out. By the time we were out, walked up The River Walk to the bus the flash flood warning had changed from “Not Expected” to “Expected.” While in The Narrows we got a slight drizzle, but it had clearly dumped at The River Walk & our campsite.
