The cutest and cuddliest museum we've ever been to! It follows the creation of the teddy bear and has over 1,200 different teddy bears!

Amsterdam!

We arrived on the bus at 3am! 😴😴😴 Once we got some sleep, we visited De Oude Kerk (a church originally built in 1250 which is Amsterdam's oldest building), the interactive NEMO Science Museum and met up with our Contiki tour group. We then went on the canal swing and got a beautiful view of central Amsterdam and finished the night at a sports bar to watch the football (Netherlands won!!)Leggi altro

Rijksmuseum Paintings

Being an art museum, the building was FULL of incredible paintings by many artists such as Rembrandt and Van Gogh. These are some of my personal favorites that I saw while we walked around.

Cheese, Clogs and a Canal Cruise

The tour group went for a traditional Dutch dinner in a town just outside Amsterdam called Edam! We saw an authentic Dutch windmill, tried on some clogs, tasted lots of yummy cheeses and played a Dutch game called Shuffle Board! After dinner, we went for a canal cruise in central Amsterdam and had a kiss underneath the Magere Brug (skinny bridge). Berlin

Big day out in Berlin! Some of the sights we saw included parts of the Berlin Wall, the Brandenburg Gate, the Bundestag, the Oldmuseum, the Berlin Dome, the Holocaust Memorial and the TV Tower. Jack caught up with his school friend Jeremy, Anch saw some of the Berlin Bears and we both ate Berliners (German jam donut) in Berlin! Notable mentions include the Ampelman (lamp man on the crossing lights) and the carpark over Hitler's bunker.Leggi altro

We arrived in Prague and went for a walk around the world's largest castle district. We then had a traditional Czech dinner complete with music, singing and dancing!

Czech Architecture, Music and Beer

We had a lovely day out in Prague! We saw more beautiful Gothic architecture and went to a classical concert by the Royal Czech Orchestra inside the Mirror Chapel! We also had a spa day in a tub of beer, complete with unlimited beer to drink and some tasty beer bread. Honorable mentions to the peacocks and the giant rats........Leggi altro

Bike Ride in Munich

We went for a nice bike ride in Europe's second most bikeable city (after Amsterdam). We saw some cool buildings with mosaics made of genuine gold that all face west so they sparkle in the sun. We also saw buildings that were destroyed in the war (along with 80% of the city) that have been rebuilt with painted false facades to replicate what they used to look like before the bombings. We ended the tour with a visit to the world's second largest beer garden in the world where Jack had a LITRE of beer and Anch had a slice of Black Forest cake.Leggi altro

We started the morning with some white water rafting in a very cold river. In the afternoon, Anch went for a solo bike ride along a scenic river trail while Jack went paragliding from 1500 meters!

A brief visit to the floating city! We went for a gondola cruise through the canals and then did a walking tour before having some traditional Italian pasta for dinner. We are in Rome! We did a walking tour once we arrived and saw the Trevi fountain, the Spanish Steps, the outside of the Pantheon and several memorial buildings and churches.
