Our Summer-Roadtrip with the Camper to and across Slovenia. We're planning to see the Triglav National Park with the Soca Valley and the coast of Slovenia. Eventually we're going to see Ljubljana (the capital) and the east of Slovenia too.

    September 2nd to September 4th ️

    September 2, 2020 in Slovenia ⋅ ☀️ 18 °C

🚐💨 After our adventurous underground kayaking tour we drove to Tolmin, because we saw on the map that there will be good weather the next days. We stayed there for two nights.
🏕️The camp we stayed was small and charming. We finally had a shower again and the river was next to the camp. We had some electricity too and were able to charce the actioncam, the mobile phones, the power banks and our watches too.
Some say all this media is too much in a camping vacay, but we need the phones for navigation and searching camps too.
☀️🌡️ The weather was pretty good and finally - FINALLY- all of our clothes were able to dry.
🌊 We had some action in the nearby river, the Idrica. The stream was pretty heavy and we had to take care, but it was so fun!

    Adventurous underground kayaking

    September 2, 2020 in Slovenia ⋅ ⛅ 12 °C

On Wednesday, September 2nd we went on a Kayak-Tour. 700m under the earth. In an old, naturally flooded mine.
💡 Without our headlamp it would have been totally dark. With totally dark I mean there was no other light bulb or something.
It was a bit of a oppressive feeling when we tried what "total darkness" means.
🛶But it was a super nice experience and we had a lot of fun!
💦 The water was so chrystal clear, I've never seen something like that before. Nowhere the water is as clear as in this mine.
🥶 Me and my brother went for a swim and it was really cold, because both, water and air, have the whole year the same temperature - around 10 degrees.

September 1st aka first day with sun ☀

    September 1, 2020 in Slovenia ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

☀ Today we woke up and the first thing we saw was: SUN! Finally!
So this day started already good because we saw the sun and got a bit of hope that our vacation still could be a summer vacation. 🙃
🚐💨 We drove to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. The city is actually really pretty and I fell in love with it instantly. 🥰
☀️The weather was still good and it felt a bit mediterranean-like. 🌴
🏰 After we visited Ljubljana Castle, which has a great view over the mountains and the city! - I got:
🍽️my first Cevapcici and Burek this year and I was so happy about it because I really really love Cevape and Burek! 😋🤤

    ☔ August 30 & 31st ☔

    August 30, 2020 in Slovenia ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

☔ The last days were really rainy and so was our mood.

📆 What we did the last days:

    -August 3️⃣0️⃣st :
💆🏼‍♀️🧖🏼‍♀️We drove to Laško, got a massage in the thermana Laško and afterwards we wanted to go for a swim, but weren't really in the mood for it. ⛈️☔Weather was a mix of - suprise- rain and thunderstorms. We slept on a farm with a really friendly host and cooked our first meal in the van.
🍴🍲 Improvised spaghetti with a tipsy sauce of salmom-balkonybasil-pesto and Feta. Adding a cucumber-corn-pepper salad and a local beer (Laško zlatorog) and the evening was good. 🤤

    -August 3️⃣1️⃣st:
📌Maribor was the next city on our map because we wanted to flee from the rain. (and failed)
So we visited the city and were siiinging in the rain, just singing in the rain... ☔🌧️
🍴Plus we got our first Burek and Cevapcici this year. 🎉 (which made me really happy because I love burek and cevape) and on the way to the van we found an ice cram shop where we bought the best ice cream ever with huuuuge scoops of ice cream.

    Arrival and first night

    August 30, 2020 in Slovenia ⋅ 🌧 20 °C

🚐We arrived this night at 1am in Slovenia. We found a free parking lot next to a restaurant.
The night was quiet and very very rainy.
🌧️The next day started with rain too, but at 9am it cleared up a bit and the view of the mountains was really really good!
🍽️The restaurant was clean and the stuff friendly. Plus they're selling cedevita naranča, one of my favorite drinks. 🤤
