Update!!! Kim and Nathan's offer on a house in Merced was accepted. It took a week of back and forth but finally an agreement was reached. The closing is scheduled for Oct. 17. So now comes the fun part, packing.

It is a really nice house, 1 acre, 5 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms on the ground floor (including Master) a very nice kitchen with 6 burner gas stove and built in refrig, lots of storage and mature trees. Plus some space in the back of the yard to add more fruit trees. It is in a very quiet neighborhood in Merced. This is the area they spend most of their time and where both of the boys attend school.

If you are bored and want to make a trip out to help to move, give me a call!!!

Luckily they don't have to sell the current house immediately so can do the move a bit easier. The third grandkid is due Nov. 12 so hoping to get most done prior to that date. Of course the baby may have a different opinion.En savoir plus

Laurel BahrCongrats to all....wish we could help! I'm in LA as daughter-in-law's mom in hospice here at home. Jack in Dallas house and grandson sitting for week. What a world! Kim's house sounds like the perfect setting for three kids, dog and a grandma!

We have been busy. The closing on the house in Merced is still on for Oct. 17. We hope to be mostly moved over before Halloween. Started work on the house in Atwater and even have a fair amount packed up.

I have been doing some teaching for Red Cross and now back as a full time grandma. I have greatly enjoyed watching Elliott at soccer and Dylan at swim. Next week Dylan starts socccer since outdoor pools are getting too cold for swim lessons.

Kim is doing well but she is starting to slow up quite a bit. Only a month left on the incubation of the next kid.En savoir plus

New house

So day 3 of moving. Not a good day,. No water,. Apparently well pump fell off. I have no clue how or why. Now we'll is pulled up , pump at the bottom of well. We will see what tomorrow brings. Luckily still have old house.

Boys and dogs loving the yard. Dylan has been having sleep overs in Grandmas trailer. Poor Beau is worn out protecting so much space.En savoir plus

All moved in and only a few boxes left. Brian arrived Saturday and Sunday took apart trampoline before movers came and then followed them over to new home and built a gate in fence so can get Dylan to preschool easily. House behind is Kim's friend and the daycare. So now the boys have easy
access to friends.

VoyageurNitrate in well is common here but a special filter can remove it. Added that in so house water is clean. Nitrates green up the yard so not removed from that.

Happy Halloween.
Boys have two costumes one for school and one for walking the neighborhood. No school today so getting in some outside time.
Brian starting on play structure. Actually was able to salvage the parts from previous one. But of course ideas for an addition.

Kim is doing ok, but ready for the baby to arrive.

So think positive thoughts!!! Brian is taking Kim to Livingston, where the Gallo facility is, passing her off to Nathan who will take her to the hospital in Modesto. About an hour drive to complete trip.

Kim is in Modesto admitted to OB floor and we are hoping this time she does come home with a newborn . This is her due date so should be ready to go.

Steve arrived on Friday so Brian, Steve and I are trying to keep things together at the house.
Added a slack line and another level to play structure plus a fun cargo net.

New granddaughter is Alja Margaret Jarrett,. Born. 11/4/22, 8 lb 6oz, 20 inches a very contented little lady.

Took the boys to the zoo in Fresno last night. They had a special light show. It was cold and drizzling but all were properly dressed. Had a great time.
