    Lake thunderbird state park

    Woke up to a great morning. Nice walk with Beau. And planning a paddle on the lake.

    Had an awesome 90 minute paddle, no motor boats and lots of herons, ducks,geese and jumping fish.

    Arrived yesterday. Here to visit Steve's relative's. Made contact last night with most of them.
    Nice quiet RV Park and found a huge dog park just five minutes drive.
    Beau met many friends and I got in a 2 mile walk. Now for breakfast and Beau's nap.

    Met Aunt Marjorie, cousin Dana, and sister in law Joni for lunch. I decided to head to Wichita Brewery next.    Les mer

    Success!!!! New ac in trailer, super quiet and awesome.. we got all in about 3hours prior to a good rain storm. So even leak checked. So now on to relaxing.

    New location. Lake is down quite a bit but can still launch my kayak. New ac is fantastic. Time for dinner and then a walk. Here for three nights.
    So two out of three boat ramps don't come close to water, that should keep the lake quiet. Plus so far only a quarter of available RV sites are occupied. So don't have to worry about complaints if Beau barks. Plus a nice sunsetLes mer

    This is a harvest host sight. Really nice facility. So far wine is ok but still have three to try and they also do beers. Trailer is parked about 10 ft away so can enjoy all evening
    Apparently I am not a lover of Mexico inspired wines so added a beer from AlbuquerqueLes mer

    Arrived here and sitting outside in 78 degree weather. Of course trying some beers and enjoying their nicely designed beer garden

    Loved their beers,. Went back to trailer during thunderstorm with a six pack of their Sunchaser. Nice people pulled 2 from frig and replaced two in room temp pack.

    Getting chilly. Two other trailers here tonight. Just checked that furnace working    Les mer

    Views RV park

    So after using two gps I found this RV park. My goal is to visit Canyonlands of the Ancients National Monument, which is just down the road. Drove through phenomenal views today from Moriarty to here. Too bad Beau does not know how to take photos. Fantastic campsite with a huge
    cottonwood for shade.

    Just outside of Cortez,CO so drove in for a beer and onion rings.

    Found out there is a vintage RV club hanging out here. Pretty cute.    Les mer

    Arrived with thunderstorms on all sides. Hooked up electric and walked Beau and the worked on making some soup. After weather passed set up the rest of the items. Now sun is out but still have some pretty fierce looking clouds.

    Here just for the night, it was a 4 hour drive from the previous location. I am trying to take my time and enjoy the travel. The scenery was great again today and the cloud formations were quite interesting.    Les mer

    Nice rain all night long and now still drizzling. Will check out late and wait for it all to pass. Sort of nice not having a plan and going with whatever.

    Great chance to check for leaks and all dry. Enjoyed several great cups of coffee now that I have a burr grinder and an espresso machine. This is a better than what I had planned.Les mer
