    Der Koch ist mit seinem Kartoffelgericht, zu Inas Lieblingskoch geworden.
    Die ersten Bratkartoffeln in ganz Süd-Ostasien.
    Es gab Umarmungen, Heiratsanträge und viel Gelächter.

    Tam Coc

    Tam Coc wird auch die "trockene Halong-Bucht" genannt,
    da die Karstlandschaft hier dieser, ohne Wasser, sehr ähnelt.
    Daher konnten wir die Gegend gut mit dem Fahrrad erkunden.
    Uns hat es sehr gefallen.

    Tam Coc is also called the "dry Halong Bay",
    because the karst landscape here is very similar to this one, without water.
    Therefore we were able to explore the area easily by bike.

    Pon Elefant Sanctuary I.

    Im Pon Elefant Sanctury werden Elefanten vor dem Einsatz in der Holzwirtschaft gerettet, sowie vor Jägern und Landminen geschützt.
    Die meisten Elefanten hier sind im Sanctury geboren.
    Die Tiere wirkten sehr entspannt und hatten sehr grossen Appetit.
    In unseren Augen hatten die Elefanten ein geräumiges Valley,
    mit einem Fluss zum abkühlen.

    Most of the elephants here were born in the sanctuary.
    The animals seemed very relaxed and had a very big appetite.

    Von hier kamen wir bequem fussläufig in die Innenstadt.

    Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre

    Etwa 25 km nördlich von Sandakan und auf einer Fläche von 40 km² des Kabili-Sepilok-Waldreservats empfängt dieses inspirierende und weltberühmte Zentrum verwaiste und verletzte Orang-Utans zur Rehabilitation, bevor sie wieder in das Leben im Wald zurückkehren.
    Im Reservat leben rund 200 Orang-Utans.

    Hier ist der Startpunkt für viele Tauch- und Schnorcheltouren.
    Die Stadt an sich ist sehr chaotisch und nicht gerade charmant...
    Ein kühles Getränk am Wasser konnten wir trotzdem geniessen!
